The department is committed to providing contemporary, engaging and safe learning environments to more than 1240 state schools and over 170 early childhood services delivered on department-owned land. The department is also responsible for providing assets to support corporate functions to deliver education services, such as housing for staff in regional locations, as well as corporate office accommodation and motor vehicles.
The Infrastructure procedures relate to the department's infrastructure and other asset related priorities. These procedures include disaster and emergency management, school security, and operations such as maintenance and the management of departmental facilities and supporting assets, such as resource replacement and fleet vehicles.
